Law Gazette Feature: Two Centuries of Singapore’s Corporate & Securities Law

I am delighted and honoured to have been invited by the Law Society of Singapore to contribute an article to the special edition of The Law Gazette.

My article, titled “The Development of Singapore’s Corporate and Securities Law Over The Last Two Centuries,” has just been published in conjunction with the Bicentennial Anniversary Celebrations of Singapore’s adoption of the Second Charter of Justice in 1826.

As a member of the Singapore legal profession, I share the joys and jubilation of this historic milestone. Singapore has come a long way towards developing an autochthonous legal system befitting its eminence as a global financial centre, and it is a privilege to document this evolution.

I invite you to read my full reflections on the transformation of our corporate and securities landscape over the past two hundred years.
