24 years ago, I advised Qian Hu Corporation Limited as its legal counsel in its listing and initial public offering (“IPO”) in Singapore.
I attended a dinner event tonight, 30th October 2024, to mark the 24th anniversary of the company’s IPO launch.
Mr Kenny Yap, the erstwhile Executive Chairman and group CEO who had led the listed company for more than 2 decades, has since passed the leadership baton to Mr Yap Kok Cheng.
Mr Kenny Yap coined the term “Farmaprenuer” when he was asked to describe himself by the media during the company’s IPO in 2000. Singapore certainly needs more of such dynamic business role models like Mr Kenny Yap!
I wish Qian Hu Corporation Limited under the management leadership of Mr Yap Kok Cheng more good years and continual success as a home-grown listed company.
